Elite inline hockey athletic development serves as the result of the CEIHF efforts to provide Colorado's youth with the ultimate in player development and community support programs to promote scholastic youth and elite inline hockey in Colorado.

Our affiliation and support from Colorado businesses and the American Inline Hockey League, USA Roller Sports (NGB for roller sports in America), and the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) are the vital key to our success in promoting and developing the best athletes and "Learn To Play" seed programs in the United States.

CEIHF JOINS ONPOINT ATHLETICS CONDITIONING AND SKILLS CAMPS FOR PRO AND AMATEUR SPORTS PERFORMANCE CONDITIONING
Discovering The Ultimate Way To Become "Stronger, Faster, Better."

ASIHC (American Scholastic Inline Hockey Championship) and CHSIHL (Colorado High School Inline League) team with the Colorado Elite Inline Hockey Federation (CEIHF) to introduce the league's first Skills and Conditioning program for inline hockey amateur and Elite athletes

The Colorado Elite Inline Hockey Federations will join with one of the most respected scholastic inline hockey leagues in the country to implement the successful OnPoint Athletics™ Skills and Conditioning program for Colorado athletes.

As part of the CEIHF initiative, the American Scholastic Inline Hockey Championship (ASIHC); founders of the Colorado High School Inline Hockey League will design a specific OnPoint Athletics™ curriculum that will offer skills and conditioning training for the student and Elite athlete. The OnPoint Athletics™ core programs are designed for youth, middle school, high school, and elite athletes, as well as adults and teams. Their "training in small groups" philosophy will also ensure maximum one-on-one attention critical to the OPA "acceleration" training philosophy.

Youth (Ages 10 & under)
During this important time in a child's life, youth athletes are in their "fundamental athletic formative" years. Their bodies are ideal for important fundamental essentials toward ingraining new movement and skills learning patterns. The Youth OnPoint Athletics™ program is conducted in 60-90 minute sessions and designed to establish and create foundations of overall athleticism in a fun, positive, and high-success atmosphere.

The OnPoint Athletics™ Youth set of courses place a high priority on skating technique, athletic coordination, balance and relative strength and the introduction of necessary muscular movement patterns. These are vital in establishing a player's athletic groundwork for improved performance, injury prevention, and long-term enjoyment of sports participation.

OnPoint™ Series I (Ages 10-14 and Middle School)
In this second stage, athletes have discovered the importance of developing neuromuscular patterns. Athletic fundamentals begin to be developed and directed towards athletic skill application in the OnPoint Athletics™ Series I program. This program focuses on progressing and maintaining athletic movement while refining and ingraining fundamental skills of speed, agility, and power. This repeated rehearsal leads to permanent and positive athletic change.

The inclusion of formal OnPoint Athletics™ Strength and Power training during the 90 minute sessions provides benefits in two ways. First, proper movement techniques with increased force production lead to maximized potential. Secondly, as athletes naturally increase in height, weight, strength and aggressiveness, the need for improved joint integrity is vital for reducing the chance of injury.

"Our goals are to produce some of the most competitive and physically conditioned inline hockey athletes in the country." Says Eddie Delgado, founder of the Colorado High School Inline Hockey League. "With this comprehensive performance training program there is no doubt that Colorado high school hockey athletes will be much more prepared for the challenges of college and Elite sports scouting and recruitment."

OnPoint™ Series II (Ages 16 and under and Intermediate High School Athletes)
Most athletes in this age group have developed neuromuscular patterns and the fundamental skills of speed, agility, and power. For OnPoint Athletics™ Series II athletes, technique is fine-tuned, and the final pieces to build the total athlete are provided. In essence, each athlete is optimized according to their biggest areas of improvement. During the 90 minute OnPoint Athletics™ Series II sessions, training begins to resemble sporting demands. OnPoint Athletics™ Series II programs focus on repeated application of learned athleticism to create mastery. The OnPoint Athletics™ program provides endless combinations of athletic skill training so competing in the game is effortless. In addition, focus on Strength and Power increases with moderate and heavy loads to optimize power output.

OnPoint™ Elite / Elite High School Athletes
The OnPoint Athletics™ programs for Elite and elite athletes are designed to provide peak physical stimulus that pushes the absolute limitations of elite athletic performance. Due to the customized and maximal intensity nature, recovery and regeneration methods are implemented. Our programs place the highest emphasis on applied and measurable performance, secondarily fine-tuning movement. Timelines to reach goals and exceed expectations are accelerated for this athletic population due to the elite competitive schedules and real-time demands.

OnPoint™ Team Training
Our OnPoint Athletics™ Team Training programs are designed to deliver a challenging workout that is organized, educational, progressive, and customized for entire hockey teams. Training sessions are typically conducted at the team's training facility and focus primarily on linear speed and multi-directional skill development. Team Training programs are built to be sport relevant bodyweight resisted power development, energy system development, and speed ratios that apply directly to specific sports demands. The OnPoint Athletics™ program is also designed to develop players in the specific skill sets and conditioning for preparation to the annual fall CEIHF Combine testing and recruiting process.

Annual Regional CEIHF Combine & Testing Preparation

The Regional CEIHF Combine Test and Rating Program is the first-ever system in Colorado designed to measure sport-specific inline hockey athleticism. Created to capture the key aspects of athleticism, these tests are combined and weighted in a unique proprietary formula.

While the conventional wisdom is that athletes are born 'fast' or 'slow,' science has proven conclusively that a training program such as the OnPoint Athletics™ Performance Training Summer Series are focused on retraining muscle fibers and neurons to react more quickly and while greatly increasing an athlete's speed, agility, and explosiveness.

The key value of the Regional CEIHF Combine Test and Rating is that it provides athletes with an invaluable tool for staying motivated, measuring results, focusing training, and maximizing an athlete's success on the playing field.

REGIONAL CEIHF Combine PRO RATING: THE NEXT LEVEL
Reaction and Quickness are at a premium. With the Pro Rating, Regional CEIHF Combine has developed a more complete measurement of athleticism in elite athletes. In the Pro Rating, CEIHF Combine also supplements the traditional combine tests with tests that give deeper insight into an athlete's reaction, visual skills and explosiveness.

CEIHF Combine Hockey Pro Rating is intended for elite high school, college and pro athletes and consists of these off-court tests: vertical jump, standing broad jump, 10-yard dash, 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, L-drill, bench press, 5kg Power Ball throw and two vision/reaction tests. On-court tests consists of: explosive skate time test, etc.

The Pro Rating is built to measure not only the "ideal" hockey player in terms of athleticism but provides a deeper look into the sources of hockey-specific athleticism.

Individuals are scored using a 100-point scale, the values of which are based on an extensive RecruitZone.com database of historic NHL Combine performance data and from our network of physicians from around the region.

The latest version of the Regional CEIHF Combine Hockey Rating is the most sophisticated measurement tool for hockey-related athleticism available to athletes, coaches and scouts.

It doesn't matter what sport you play--you can not become a better player by just playing more.  You need to improve your overall athleticism.  The OnPoint Athletics™ Summer Performance Series will focus on:

  • Developing explosive power
  • Increasing your speed
  • Improving agility
  • Reducing the likelihood of injury

The summer camp features both skill instruction and OnPoint Athletics™ inline hockey sports performance's unique and proven version of OnPoint Athletics™ Training.  The OnPoint Athletics™ Summer Performance Series can take you to the next level.

Clearly, the OnPoint Athletics™ and CEIHF staff has followed the national trend of accelerated high-end sports performance training and development. "We're trying to fill the current performance training void that exists in Colorado . We're extremely confident that this approach toward player development will produce a much higher caliber of athlete that can compete on the national stage". Says, Eddie Delgado.
